Connect Church Prayer Gram

May 20, 2018

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions,

and thanksgivings be made for all people,”

1Timothy 2:1

Thanksgiving: “I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness,

and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.”

Psalm 7:17

Connect Church:

Pray for the Elders, Deacons, Ministry leaders and volunteers that they would know God’s renewing strength when they feel weary, that they would serve with patience, mercy and grace and that God would give them joy through glimpses of His Kingdom in the faces of those they serve.

Pray for the Gaza Conflict:

Palestinians and Israelis are fighting at the border of Gaza. Hundreds are being killed and thousands are injured. Please pray for the injured and the families of those killed. Many do not profess Jesus as Savior. Please pray that those on both sides of the conflict would come to know the only Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. Pastor Hanna, former pastor of the Gaza Baptist Church, has informed us that all Christians in Gaza are safe as of today. With the ongoing conflict in Israel, please pray for the peace that only Jesus Christ can provide.

Pray for those in authority over us:

Our City: Albertville City Council Aaron Cocking

Our State: US Senate Tina Smith

Our Nation: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Partners in Spain-Prayer Requests for May 2018:

Please pray that our church people will know the filling of the Holy Spirit and walk in holiness, even in the midst of a post-Christian, ungodly culture. Pray especially for the protection of our young people, who face tremendous pressures at school and among their peers.

Bethany School of Discipleship and Missions

Please pray for plans for this summer’s fourth edition of the Bethany School of Missions and Discipleship. In the past three summers physical space has been limited. Pray for plans to erect two prefabricated cabins in the back yard of the property. Pray also for the Lord to send the students He wants to attend each of the Bethany courses this summer, both in English and in Spanish.

Panta ta Ethne (Matthew 28:19 “all nations”)

East and South Africa

Persecuted Church:

Malaysia:  Pray for the protection of secret gatherings of believers from Muslim backgrounds. • Pray for strength and courage for new converts who are often kicked out of their homes, isolated from their families and communities, and sent to Islamic re-education camps. • Malays do not have religious liberty to leave Islam. Pray for change in Malaysia.

Myanmar:   Pray for persecuted Christian minorities, that they would lovingly minister to persecuted Rohingya Muslims who are facing genocide. Pray that many hearts would be opened to the truth of Christ. • Christian converts from Islam and Buddhism face strong pressure to recant their faith. Pray these believers would have courage in the face of persecution. Pray for increased religious freedom.
